Executive Bio
Tim Nufire is a co-founder and has served as our chief cloud officer since January 2008 and as a member of our Board of Directors since April 2009. Tim developed, built, and laid the first building blocks of the Backblaze Storage Cloud, and remains responsible for its continued scaling today. Prior to his time at Backblaze, Tim was the vice president of engineering at Aplia, which was acquired by the Thompson Corporation. He was also a director at MailFrontier and SearchFox, and held senior engineering positions at Apple, Adobe, and others. Tim earned his B.S. in mathematics with the highest distinction from the University of Kansas.
