What do you like best about the leadership team?
Best leadership in the Bay Area. Estaff is very down to earth. They listen and help.
They are down to earth and transparent.
They are extremely approachability and incredibly knowledgable.
They are all so very involved in the company, and very hands-on, very friendly
The leadership team is honest and very patient. They have an open door policy and are always willing to help out.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
100% paid healthcare RSUs ESPP It's great not having to "worry" about benefits
The benefits are amazing for sure!
great pay, unlimited PTO, stock options..... literally could not get any better!
Stock options translated as RSU's.

What are some of the best things about your team?
They are very collab with each other
Really smart engineers that can actually communicate with each other.
Everyone really cares about doing a good job. It's great to work with people who are engaged and who help each other out.
The comradery and support makes us strong.
Collaborative, fun, engaging. They work hard to do the best for our employees and leaders.

The support and friendliness makes you feel confident that you'll succeed.
Everyone has been welcoming, happy to help/answer questions, and are genuinely happy to be at work.

Everyone pulls in the same direction, which is unusual for public companies of this size! Even post-IPO, Backblaze seems to have retained its edge,
The friendly attitude and inclusion of everyone at the company (makes everyone feel important)

What did you like most about the interview process?
My boss knew what he was looking for during the interview. Questions were clear. You either know it or you don't.
They made it feel more like a general meet and greet. They definitely had some professional level interview questions but they remained light, conversational, and personal. I really like how they focused on the team aspect, making sure how I would fit in and was generally open minded.

Each member of the team you will be working with is involved in the process
Getting interviewed by different people (you got the feel of how the culture/people are at the company)
The interviewers were all friendly, and the technical interviews were interesting without being stressful. Also, the time from an initial recruiter contact to an offer was under two weeks, which in my experience was astonishingly fast.
