I really trust and respect our leadership team. They make very well-informed decisions, are transparent about changes and performance, and value the importance of employee feedback at all levels.
Don't create hierarchies of middle managers who lack relevant experience in a given asset class -particularly if that asset class is one the firm is new to. Follow through on your commitments to the teams you bring on.
Beware of yes men and sycophants.
