Mr. James P. Berklas, Jr., also known as Jim, has been Executive Officer of Barnes Group Inc. since June 15, 2017. Mr. Berklas served as Senior Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel at Barnes Group Inc. from August 01, 2015 to June 15, 2017. He served as an Associate General Counsel at Herbalife Ltd. Before joining Barnes Group, he served as Senior Vice President, Associate General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer and Associate Corporate Secretary for Herbalife, Ltd. in Los Angeles, California from 2008 to 2015. In this role, Mr. Berklas was responsible for legal affairs and compliance and served as corporate secretary. Previously, he served as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Marietta Corporation from 2005 to 2008 and from 2006 to 2008, as Marietta's Senior Vice President, Hotel Division General Manager. He commenced his career in private practice with three prominent law firms including Vinson & Elkins LLP, Simpson Thatcher & Bartlett LLP and Irell & Manella LLP. Mr. Berklas holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School in Cambridge, Massachusetts and a B.A. degree in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles.
