Baylor Scott & White Health Environment Employee Reviews

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Attitudes of coworkers, even though the days can be rough, the positivity makes it worth it

Review from Finance Dept

Everyone is friendly and helpful.

Review from Customer Success Dept

it is very friendly and inviting

The ability to innovate, try new ideas and I am given the space to lead.

Review from Operations Dept

leadership does their best to make everyone feel heard and listens to ideas or complaints and does everything in their power to make the best of all situations.

My work team is more of a family team.

Communication about upcoming changes. Our executive team will provide events and other community initiatives to foster inclusivity. Having the ability genuinely feel heard and express ourselves without retaliation.

The team members I work with and support everyday.

Review from Operations Dept

Leadership supports a work-life balance.

Review from Operations Dept

Welcoming, good teachers and helpers

We genuinely love taking care of our patients and fostering a culture of compassionate but safe care.

Everyone is welcome at BSW it is such an inclusive and welcoming work environment.

Review from HR Dept

BSW cares. BSW cares about their staff and they want their staff to succeed.

I can't think of anything at this time

Review from Admin Dept

Teamwork and forward thinking mindset

I would say feeling valued as a contributor on the team.

The feeling of inclusive and welcoming environment

they treat you like family

The acceptance of all diversities and differences.

Review from Admin Dept

We put the patient at the focus of our care. Treat them like humans and not numbers.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Better management and attitudes towards everyone.

Stop thinking that drs and higher uo management it better them anyone else.

Director should be in more engaged, to show more support to the managers.

The leadership teams tries to isolate each member of the team from the others. They make huge deals about non-problems and cause divide and issues between team members. I would appreciate some team building activities, even something simple like a group lunch.

Listen to your employees and ask them directly what the issue is. Don't ask management. Get it directly from the source.

Less finger shaming, tattling, gossiping and more engaging in proccess cchanges and using mistakes as educational opportunities

nothing needs to change for better culture

Review from Admin Dept

Ensure that leaders are committed to fostering a positive culture. Leadership sets the tone for the entire organization. Foster open and transparent communication. Encourage feedback at all levels and create channels for employees to express their thoughts and concerns. Invest in the professional d

Review from Admin Dept

Morale and better preceptors thanks

recognizing your staff and boosting them up

Review from Customer Support Dept

Leaders are not true "leaders," they are not truly trained on how to be a manager. Staff are afraid to speak their minds and communication between leaders and staff is poor.

Valuing employees, boosting morale, holding frequent training courses or shinning lights in new areas

People need to learn to be responsible over their actions. If they are aren't learning to be responsible over their actions, they need to be held accountable. Also, asking for things the day before a hard deadline is unacceptable.

Be honest and transparent as the company "says" it should be. The "Why?" BSWH presents does not support employee engagement. Decision-makers who have been out of operations more than 2 years should not be making their decisions/outcomes.

It needs to be revamped completely

taking things into consideration when employees are over worked and unappreciated.

be more positive:) (filler words)

Senior leadership misses out on potential great talent by not visiting and meeting with people individually.

I wish they would have promoted from within. I’m leaving because I haven’t been given an opportunity to move out of my schedule. The universal bed model isn’t liked by icu nurses and training meds

BSW needs to consider what it is asking leaders to do from a time management perspective. It is impossible to have work/life balance.
