Big Ass Fans Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

In 2023, now 100% of employees in the company have a bonus incentive tied to growth.

Review from Executive Dept

We have great perks -- onsite cantina, events, family leave, etc.

Review from Sales Dept

Pay is good and all other parts of package are competitive.

I'm paid well, get a good pto plan.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Having an on site cantina is awesome. We have a good pto plan.

Review from Customer Support Dept

The on site cantina! Seems silly, but I don't have to worry about packing lunch. BAF subsidizes meals for us so I can make a lunch and pack an extra serving for dinner if I want.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Our comp package is competitive with other local companies but other companies don't offer the external events like BAF does. I love using the on site cantina so I don't have to worry about packing a lunch every day.

Review from Customer Support Dept

The parental leave program! As someone who is starting to think about trying for a family it makes me feel so much better to work at a company that offers a great parental leave program. So impressed!

Review from Sales Dept

MUCH better benefits package than previous places I have worked.

Review from Marketing Dept

Different plans to suit every employee's needs.

Review from HR Dept

I like that we are able to earn more vacation days by working shut down days. It makes it easy to plan and have a better work life balance if we know something is coming up that we may need more time off for.

Review from Customer Support Dept

We're all eligible for bonuses!

All of the fun employee stuff they do other than insurance. We get free food, cool events.

Review from Operations Dept

The employee perks! We often have food trucks out on site, free food, family events, etc.

Review from Operations Dept

The beer fridge! When we have a good sales day we open up the beer fridge. So cool!

Review from Marketing Dept

Aside from the general benefits, the PTO plan is great, plus the family leave program is awesome. Can't forget about the beer fridge for big sales days!

Review from Operations Dept

I am satisfied with the compensation packet that I have received.

The health benefits and vacation time.

Review from Operations Dept

Our managers are flexible with working from home when needed due to child illness, weather, etc.

Review from Sales Dept

Honestly, the parental leave program! Sure, the vision, dental, 401k, etc. is competitive, but the fact that they have such a great parental leave program is amazing for future family planning!

Review from Marketing Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I feel with the economy growing we need to come up with more ways for people to get paid better on the work they do. Incentive programs for each department or having certain goals for each individual would be a great for people to know if they come in and work hard everyday they will be compensated.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Feel I should be compensated for the hard work we put on for not having enough team members for the work load

Review from Operations Dept

Seems on the low side for comparable jobs out there even if it might be decent money for Lexington. Personally I don't think the compensation should be good for Lex...but comparable to national norms since BAF is trying to attract and keep national workers. Higher pay if doing a specialized job too

Review from Marketing Dept

While I understand that the global economy is complex and we are possibly headed for a recession or rolling recession...but it would be great if annual raises were better on track with the rate of inflation. I agree they should be based on merit, but the thresholds are unclear.

in order for employee retention the base salary on the sales floor should be higher and represent a closer number to the average salary for similar positions in the area

Review from Sales Dept

the advancement rate within the company

Review from Sales Dept

A defined plan for bonuses that were discussed last year and a higher hourly rate. We are drastically behind the national average.

Review from Finance Dept

I would like a clear understanding on bonus and fair bonus structure

Review from Sales Dept

Clear vision on AIP and pay in line for the performance given the title/ position

Review from Sales Dept

Compensation is more driven to be the same in HQ. however, some countries has different practices that places us in a much lower compensation then the market. Neighboring country has more benefits then where we are.

Review from Sales Dept

Many of the benefits are on par with other companies. Often when asking for merit increase it difficult to get even when goals have been exceeded

Review from Sales Dept

I would like my compensation to align better with the revenue that my team puts out.

Review from Sales Dept

I think everyone would say that they want/need more pay which is true . I believe that will come with time and knowledge but sometimes I feel that I constantly have to search for opportunities to grow my knowledge so that I can be in a place where I can be financially compensated.

Review from Sales Dept

Because people in similar roles at other companies are paid higher. I would feel better if my compensation was more competitive.

Review from Sales Dept

When comparing to similar positions, the total comp is far less, and the plan is in no way, shape, or form tied to segment performance. Not having any part of my pay tied to how the segment/team performs, really is demotivating.

Review from Sales Dept

It's not far off, but with inflation and us raising our prices, it feels like salary is falling behind. The raise was nice, but felt just a little small.

Review from Marketing Dept

More competitive salary compared to similar job market.
