Mr. Carl J. Wiese has been President of Global Sales at BlackBerry Limited since July 13, 2015 and is responsible for driving go-to market strategy and advancing global sales efforts to drive growth. Mr. Wiese served as Co-Chair of the Collaboration Architecture Board and Senior Vice President of Global Collaboration at Cisco Systems, Inc. He was responsible for leading Cisco's global collaboration business. He served as Vice President of U.S./Canada Advanced Technologies, where he focused on incubating sales and deployment processes for new and emerging technologies, representing Cisco's next billion-dollar-plus markets. He has over 25 years experience in sales, marketing, services and product management for high-technology companies. He served various executive roles at Avaya. He served as Vice President of Enterprise Marketing at Avaya, where he built and led a team of sales specialists focused on advanced technologies. He served as Vice President of Product Management for Telephony Products and his responsibilities included product strategy, product development, pricing and lifecycle management across the entire family of telephony products. He serves as Member of Advisory Board at Altocloud, Inc. He has served executive positions at Lucent, Apple Computer and Texas Instruments. He has established himself as an industry expert and an executive thought leader in collaboration technologies, including telepresence, unified communications, conferencing, video and new consumption models. He is the co-author of The Collaboration Imperative: Executive Strategies for Unlocking Your Organization's True Potential, published in 2011. Mr. Wiese holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Oklahoma State University.
