What is the best part about your compensation package? As a Blue Bell employee, you don't have to pay for your insurance. It's free and they have 100% match up to 4% and on top of that a pension plan still.
What do you like best about the leadership team? The communication is wonderful and you're constantly being taught for the next position.
What do you like best about the leadership team? They are very friendly, attentive and supportive.
What needs to change to make the company culture better? We need all the older leadership to move out. The mentality didn't change after 2015. All the same folks are there. The people's who's jobs were on the line, lost, or laid off are doing the best job they can. Many that have the cushy jobs have completely forgotten.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation? We are trained for our positions and when we want to follow the rules we have on paper we get overruled to do what the rules state. That will make anyone feel useless in their job. The Christmas bonus is just pay that you are shorted throughout the year. People have to work multiple jobs to make it.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?Caring about employees. The turn over is high and they are more worried about hiring more warm bodies than taking care of the people that are there and the employees that have been there long term. The benefits are sub par overall. Health insurance is paid by company but it is below 2021 standards.
The Best Ice Cream in the Country.
