What are you most excited about working at Boomerang Transport?
Working and meeting all kinds of people
Working my hours that I choose.
Its a job. There is nothing exciting about it.
What interview questions does Boomerang Transport ask?
Why you want to do this type of work
The questions have to do with your driving record and your safety skills. How far you are willing to drive to pick up a client. Do you have customer service experience?
How have you heard about Boomerang? Why does you choose to drive with this company? Does your cell phone allows text messaging? They will ask you to send a text to verify. They will ask you about your availability?
What's the interview process like at Boomerang Transport?
Top Employee Response
Deceitful misleading and fast-paced. The caller obviously either had too much work or have better places to be she spent through the interview process as fast as possible with me told me everything I wanted to hear and then I found that 75% of what she told me was completely contradicted as soon as I went to work for the actual company.
Honest questions about you and your past experience
The interview process is all completed by phone so it is very pleasant.
What do people at Boomerang Transport think about the CEO? What do they do well and what can they improve?
Awesome, group
They are available to answer your questions and help you with whatever you need
The CEO needs to be more involved with reviewing the rate of pay that the drivers are being paid. The CEO needs to offer some type of incentive such as bonus for doing an excellent job or driving the most amount of miles in a week or something. This company needs to improve mainly on the rate of pay. If the rate is already set at a certain amount that is high, don't change the rate for that same job to a lower rate. This seems very suspicious to the driver as to the company trying to pocket more money and being selfish to the driver. Paying attention that if the driver is driving several miles, pay them more money instead of lessening their pay. The biggest problem with this company is that they under pay the drivers on a lot of their trips.
What part of Boomerang Transport's business is growing fastest? What part is having difficulties?
Some schedules
I'm uncertain on what part is growing fastest or having difficulties. All I can say is that the drivers are having difficulties in their pay method and being treated as if we are the reason why the business is able to make money. Without the drivers, there is no business.
I have no doubt that their business is growing fast. When you have a pool of people that is constantly rotating with fresh hope that they're actually going to have a decent job and a small handful of employees that are very happy including some drivers that are retired and only need a few hours a week then they can legitimately put all their thoughts of success upon those people. But realistically I can see their company eventually making bad decisions based on their need to grow and that being their downfall along with their arrogance. I tried to legitimately speak with them in a professional manner and it was clear to me immediately that they did not like any kind of criticism constructive or otherwise and they were very offended that I would even suggest after their four and a half years of success making any changes to their methods.
How do I do well in an interview at Boomerang Transport?
Be honest
Be yourself and relax and answer all the questions the best you can, Speak up and be confident and know what you are talking about and just be honest
How long do the interviews usually take at Boomerang Transport?
15 to 20 minutes
The interview took about 20 minutes
What should I wear for an interview at Boomerang Transport?
Casual attire
The interview is done on the phone only so it does not matter what you wear.
What's the office vibe like at Boomerang Transport?
The vibe is pleasant
Uncertain. Never been to the office or met anyone in person.
If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at Boomerang Transport?
I would suggest having a monthly meeting to update drivers on anything new going on and to talk about any work issues . Do the meetings online so more people could get the information at the same time.
I would pay the drivers more money if they are driving more mile and keep the same rate steady throughout. I would also offer some type of bonus or incentive for the employees whom accept the most amount of trips or who travel the most amount of miles. I would ask the drivers for feedback on what changes should take place in the company. Making sure that I try to make some of those changes.
How's the work life balance at Boomerang Transport?
The balance is what you choose Since you make your own schedule
Flexible
How rewarding is your job at Boomerang Transport?
This job is not rewarding at all. If you don't mind driving for low pay, this is the perfect job for you. Don't come here expecting a lot of money. This company tells you than in the interview that you won't make a lot of money, but they don't tell you that they adjust the rate to keep you from making any money. The company is benefiting more than the driver. Keeping in mind that the driver is doing all the work.
Enjoyed the clientele but had no encouragement or contact with management.
What kind of people succeed at Boomerang Transport?
I don't feel that nobody really succeed with this company. I feel that you should be more cautious at which trips to select over others.
N/A No offers of promotions or raises ever discussed.
How's the work pace at Boomerang Transport?
The work pace is structured
Slow. However, you maybe asked to take trips where you drive two unpaid hours to pick up a client, deliver them to their appointments, drive two hours back home. The trip back home is also unpaid as you will not be paid unless the client is in your vehicle and occasionally approved wait time.
What are the team outings like at Boomerang Transport?
Never experienced any outings.
No such thing. You don't even find out who the other drivers are in your area.
How does Boomerang Transport make decisions around promotions?
Uncertain because nothing is being revealed to the drivers.
No idea. Drivers are independent contractors. Promotions were never discussed.
How's the vacation policy at Boomerang Transport?
Flexible
You can sign off for blocks of time. In fact, you are expected to sign off for any time you might not be available such as Dr. appointments, waiting for a delivery or service man, etc. Hardly reasonable for a part time job paying so little.
