  • This job is very secured. Although, the drivers are under paid, there is a lot of trips to make a few dollars.

Asked to all employees at Boomerang Transport

  • The feedback process at Boomerang Transport is very poor. All the drivers are stating the exact same thing. This company underpays its drivers. Some feel like they are scamming the drivers because they change the pay rate on the exact same trips. This company pays you more on low mile trips and pays less for high mile trips. This is conflicting in itself because the more miles you go the more the drivers should get paid. I never seen anything like this. I tell anyone trying to become a driver to pay close attention to the miles and the rate of pay. Once you realize how the system is set up, reject the high mile trips so that you won't be under paid.

Asked to all employees at Boomerang Transport

  • You could work when you wanted and sign off when you wanted but were expected to block out hours off your schedule even if it was a brief period. If they contacted you about a ride and you did not block off the time you were unavailable that day (Even if it was 1 hour), the dispatchers could be quite rude about your turning the ride down.

  • If you have a decent car, insurance, and pass their little online training class, you will be hired. After that, how much work you actually get may be limited. Also, you will be expected to block off even short periods of time like for your own appointments or you will be ridiculed for turning down the rides they might offer. If you forget to follow one of their rules as taught in their online training such as leaving a client location without permission when you find they are not home to be picked up, you will be talked to and scolded like a child by the dispatcher even though you sat for some time waiting for them to call you back as they seldom answer the first time you call. If you don't mind these things, they will gladly pay you $100-200 a month for your trouble. Deduct the gas expense and wear and tear on your vehicle that you are not paid for, you might be better off working at McDonalds a couple of days a week.
