Michael P. Phalen — Executive VP & President of MedSurg at Boston Scientific

Mr. Michael P. Phalen, also known as Mike, has been an Executive Vice President at Boston Scientific Corporation since January 2011 and has been its President of MedSurg (Medical Surgery) since January 2012. Mr. Phalen plans and executes Boston Scientific's growth strategies for the Boston Scientific's Endoscopy, Urology/Women's Health and Neuromodulation businesses as well as overseeing Boston Scientific's Canadian and Latin American operations. Mr. Phalen also serves as Member of Executive Committee at Boston Scientific Corporation. He served as President of International, Senior Vice President and President of Endoscopy at Boston Scientific Corporation from 2010 to 2011. He was responsible for planning and executing the Boston Scientific's international growth strategy. Mr. Phalen joined Boston Scientific in 1988 and held various management positions of increasing responsibilities including Territory Manager, Product Manager, Regional Sales Manager, Group Product Manager, Director of Marketing, Vice President of Global Marketing and Senior Vice President and President of its Endoscopy division. Before joining Boston Scientific, he served as Director of Marketing, Group Product Manager, Regional Sales Manager, Product Manager and Territory Manager of Boston. Mr. Phalen held management positions with MD Technology, Kendall Healthcare and Pennwalt Pharmaceuticals. He has been a Director of Asana Medical, Inc. since January 2012. He holds a B.S. in General Science from Villanova University and an M.B.A. from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
