Meetings are largely aimless and fail to establish an agenda beforehand, focus during the meeting, and goals or deliverables afterwards. Many people feel entitled to start up lifestyles with corporate pay and resources.
Benefits and compensation are geared towards people starting their careers, but the perks are geared those with established careers. Result? Worst of both worlds - seasoned vets who feel work too hard for not enough pay and newcomers who are off every other week because of unlimited vacation time.
Culture is not a priority. The HR team is largely inexperienced and they struggle to bring on qualified executives and when they do, the founders are too reluctant to back them. As such, certain departments spend like there's no tomorrow and others fall into disrepair due to lack of resources.
