Brenntag Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

I am satisfied with my salary, but I think we should be granted to additional personal and sick days

Review from Finance Dept

Not sure yet, but overall seems fair

Review from Marketing Dept

The flexible cafeteria plan for heath care and other benefits allow me to pick what is important to me.

Review from Operations Dept

Insurance started as soon as I started work; Didn't have to wait to get it and it's something I really appreciate it - plus I feel like I'm getting paid fairly

Review from HR Dept

profit sharing, paid time off, volunteer time

Review from HR Dept

pension contributions and 401k match

Review from HR Dept

3 weeks vacation at 2 years employment. Profit sharing and 401k match. Variety of healthcare options

Review from HR Dept

Love the new Volunteer Program

Review from HR Dept

The ability to choose the level of health benefits and the provider. I can spend my healthcare money the way I want to fit my needs. It's the single best thing HR has done over the last 10 years.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Pension plan and yearly bonus

Review from Marketing Dept

I enjoy the incentive plan.

401 K plan and profit sharing

Review from Sales Dept

Bonus and overall salary along with 401K

Salary and bonus pay structure. I also think working from home is one of the most valuable benefits of my current job.

I am very happy with my salary and the opportunity to earn a bonus based on my ability to achieve my goals.

Review from HR Dept

Good number of PTO hours

Review from Finance Dept

The flexibility we have on having multiple options to pick health insurance.

Review from Operations Dept

Annual bonus is offered to many employees.

Review from Admin Dept

Excellent retirement, healthcare and wellness programs!

Review from HR Dept

The opportunity to earn more with my performance based bonus. The company also offers a fair 401K program.

Review from Business Development Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I do believe I am "valued"...but at the same time I think there is room for a salary increase. I have already brought this up with my boss and I am confident this is being addressed.

Review from Sales Dept

Paid at competitive market rates (especially given the constantly growing scope of most roles, where responsibilities are added without compensation)

Review from HR Dept

Our industry as a whole is undervalued, and our pay has not kept up with the pace of our work, especially during recent inflationary period.

Review from Sales Dept

There is still a gap between pay for employees who came to Brenntag via acquisition, and legacy Brenntag employees. I think that the market pay for my same role would be higher.

Review from Sales Dept

I do not feel that I am compensated for all my years of experience in the outside Brenntag world. I took a pay cut when I started here 6 years ago and I have still not reached the salary I made prior to coming on board with Brenntag.

I feel like i am not paid enough for the amount of work i do. I also feel like bonuses should be paid by how good your reviews are and how you work. It seems like everyone gets close to the same on bonuses unless you are management. people that do the bare minimum gets just as someone that workshard

Review from Operations Dept

Market comparison. No spot bonus policy implemented for my function. Benchmark would be great

Review from Marketing Dept

I believe our yearly evaluations could be better. From information provided, a rating of 3 is the "norm" therefore the amount for our yearly raise is minimum. It would also be nice to have bonus incentives.

better access to my customer base, and more organizational software.

Review from Sales Dept

I believe there is a gender pay and opportunity gap at Brenntag. There are several programs that have been rolled out the past two years to help support women advance in their careers. However, there hasn't been enough training for the mid-level mgmt about how to pay people for effort and skill.

Review from Business Development Dept

Lack of clarity in my role. Zero understanding of future career growth opportunities. Skillset and experience are being underutilized and unappreciated. Would feel better about compensation if I were actually compensated appropriately.

Review from Sales Dept

Base salary not competitive with others in same field of activity . The incentives bonuses started 4 years ago. Should have been done before . It seems like some positions are over evaluated compared to others . Shareholders and management are certainly well treated on this aspect .

Review from Sales Dept

More help , better pay and shown I am appreciated. Boost company moral !!!

Benchmarking for the position I hold in other companies, I have found my salary is almost 50% less. Also, PTO is very strict as well as the flexible scheduling ability.

Review from Business Development Dept

Compensation and benefits were archaic prior to the pandemic, now with companies doing and offering more, this company is further and further behind the curve in the area of benefits. If you're a veteran reservist, avoid this company. The German leadership doesn't understand the support you need

I feel valued by my manager. I believe the compensation should be closer to market value.

Review from Operations Dept

Better bonus structure for people who help sales but don't sell

Review from Admin Dept

Comparable roles are more highly paid at other organizations.

Review from Marketing Dept

Just not competitive with the rest of the chemical industry and even smaller distributors. Promotional opps and clear ladder is not available

Review from Marketing Dept

I would feel better if I had been given a team leadf or all the extra work I have taken on
