It was good at the beginning until they hired a new scheduler and it's been terrible ever since.
They really didn't listen to my questions I had, or my pay requests

There are no benefits until 1 year but nobody stays long enough to get any because of management

Office staffers
No idea..... I feel the ones in management have never even done caregiving or CNA jobs!

If you don't accept the assignments that they want you to, they won't give you any.

How secure do you feel at your job at Brightstar?
Not at all.....was terminated after client told nurse I wouldn't let her cut up ribs and cook them one day....she was blind, on PUREED diet, didn't have stove at her house. Terminated by email which is very unprofessional and didn't even give me a chance to defend myself, just you're terminated!
What unique perks and benefits does Brightstar provide?
I didn't get any perks or benefits. Nothing available til employed at least one year. Vacation....per handbook, there may be instances where you could qualify for vacation time. ??????
How much diversity is there among employees at Brightstar?
Unsure, since we worked alone in client homes, never saw other caregivers, or met them, or talked with them.
How's the morale at Brightstar?
Not very good. The supervisors don't back you up. Client's daughter told them I wasn't taking care of client. Instead of checking it out, they terminated me, BY EMAIL with no explanation. I had PT, speech therapist, home health nurse, and various family members arrive unannounced numerous times each week, always dressed, bathed, clean, eating, drinking, toileting, etc.... anyone can say anything they want about you and nobody will back you up.
What do people at Brightstar think about the CEO? What do they do well and what can they improve?
Not sure. Communicate well. Need better pay.
How's the work life balance at Brightstar?
Great! During my interview I told them I couldn't handle heavy duty lifting anymore due to torn bicep and couldn't work past certain hours, and they matched me perfectly!
Does Brightstar have any remote positions?
Yes, majority are in home covering 3 counties
How's the vacation policy at Brightstar?
Not sure, haven't been there long enough....i think you get one week after a year
How does Brightstar make decisions around promotions?
I have no idea....since we do in home care, there really isn't promotion opportunities
