Executive Bio

Mr. Ray Shemanski has been President of U.S. operations at The Brink's Company since October 2017. Mr. Shemanski was the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Johnson Controls-Saft Advanced Power Solutions LLC since October 1, 2009 until 2012. Mr. Shemanski led the daily operation of Johnson Controls to ensure the continued success and profitable growth of the business. He served in several operational leadership positions over the past 20 years at Johnson Controls. He served as Group Vice President and General Manager of Johnson Controls' $4.6 billion global automotive aftermarket business group, from 2014 to 2017. From 2012 to 2014, he served as group vice president and general manager of Johnson Controls' $1.2 billion original equipment group, where he managed its battery technology business and secured global contracts with multiple international automakers. From 2006 to 2009, he was Vice President and General Manager of a $3.5 billion operation within its automotive seating and interiors division, where he led a turnaround from loss to profitability. A key focus also include leveraging Johnson Controls worldwide commercial OE organization to increase Johnson Controls-Saft's business development capabilities. Since joining Johnson Controls in the Automotive Experience business in 1988, Mr. Shemanski held several positions of increasing responsibility spanning plant management, program management, sales management and ultimately general management of its global customer business unit for Ford. He served as a Vice President and General Manager of Global OEM-OES at Power Solutions since January 2009. He earned his MBA from the University of Michigan and holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Saginaw Valley State University.
