Mr. Cornelius served as the Chief Financial Officer of Eli Lilly and Companyfrom 1983 to 1995. From 1980 to 1982, he served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of IVAC Corporation, previously a Lilly subsidiary. He was Chairman of the Board of Bristol-Myers Squibb Company from May 04, 2010 to May 05, 2015. He serves as Trustee of DePauw University. He serves as Director of Yourencore, Inc. He was Member of Management Council at Bristol-Myers Squibb Company. He served on the Board of DIRECTV Group from 2000 to February 2009. He was Director of Lilly Industries, Inc since 1996. He was Director of The Chubb Corporation from 1998 to December 31, 2006. He served as an Director of Guidant LLC since 1994. He served as an Outside Director of Given Imaging Ltd., since December 2001 and also served as its Director from October 2001 to December 2001. He served as a Director of The National Bank of Indianapolis and National Bank of Indianapolis Corp. He served as a Director of Eli Lilly from 1983 to 1995. He serves as President of the Cornelius Family Foundation and has served United Way of Central Indiana in several leadership positions. He has received several honorary doctorate degrees in recognition of his civic and philanthropic activities in Indiana. He served on active duty as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Finance Corps. He attended Michigan State University, where he earned a BA in Accounting in 1965 and an MBA in Finance in 1967.
