What it is today is not what it was when I started, and happiness at work depends largely on what project you are on. The company has stepped up its efforts to keep employees happy. Pay is good, benefits are just okay, training is good, work can be fun, but it can also be stressful.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Willingness to work together and help each other to succeed. Everyone is positive and supportive.
What are some of the best things about your team?
There are groups of people that work hard and try to help build everyone else be successful an it isn't too structured. There is a lot of opportunity for flexibility and work in areas outside of your own.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They usually have employee interests in mind. Many times at other companies leadership is off in their own strategic universe and when you talk to them, it feels like you are a 2 year old talking to an adult, here everyone is treated like an adult.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I'm frequently changing doctors since current ones no longer accept my plan. Benefits favor people that don't have a family. 401k matching is 1%, which is low comparably. When I have to visit a doctor it should not be required that I make up the time.
