Executive Bio

Mr. Sanjiv Yajnik has been the President of Financial Services of Capital One Financial Corporation since June 2009. Mr. Yajnik is responsible for overseeing Capital One's auto finance and home loans businesses. He serves as the President of Capital One, National Association. Mr. Yajnik oversees Capital One's community relations throughout Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana as President of Capital One's South Central Region. From July 1998 to June 2009, he led several businesses within Capital One, including Capital One Europe, Capital One Canada and Capital One Small Business Services. In February 2005, Mr. Yajnik served as the Principal Managing Director of Capital One Europe. He joined Capital One in July 1998. Prior to joining Capital One, Mr. Yajnik held a broad range of positions, including General Manager at Circuit City Stores (USA), Market Manager at PepsiCo (Canada), and Chief Engineer at Mobil Oil (International). In November 2015, he was appointed by as Chairman of the Texas Economic Development Corporation. He has been Director of CBRE Group, Inc. since November 14, 2017. He serves as a Director of Capital One, National Association. He serves as the Chairman of the Dallas Symphony Association and leads the Board of Governors in overseeing the direction and governance for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. He is a medalist Chartered Engineer (I). He graduated with distinction from the Marine Engineering Research Institute, India. Mr. Yajnik received MBA with honors from the University of Western Ontario, Canada. He completed the Executive Management Program at Stanford University.
