Bill Owad — Senior Vice President of Operational Excellence at Cardinal Health

Mr. Bill Owad serves as the Senior Vice President of Operational Excellence at Cardinal Health, Inc. Mr. Owad is responsible for the development and implementation of an enterprise approach to operational excellence and the pursuit of becoming a 'lean' enterprise. Prior to his current role, Mr. Owad served in a number of senior Operational Excellence roles. During his tenure, he served as the primary architect of Cardinal Health 's enterprise-wide deployment of Lean Six Sigma, which in three years has yielded significant operational and working capital improvements. Prior to joining Cardinal Health, Mr. Owad held several operations and administrative roles within the health care provider market, most recently as Corporate Director of Quality for ProMedica Health System. Mr. Owad also supports the extension of Operational Excellence external to Cardinal Health through his active membership in the Lean Enterprise Institute (LEI) Partner's Program, The Ohio State University Fisher College Center for Operational Excellence and the Conference Board Quality Council. Mr. Owad received his bachelor's degree in pharmaceutical sciences and an MBA from the University of Toledo.
