The team I work for is amazing. Very hard working people who are underpaid and this company doesn't deserve them, honestly. Corporate, however, is a joke, & very contradicting when it comes to policies & procedures.
I like the honesty from my Leadership DM
We strive to work as a team.
Team Players, from the highest to the lowest level.
I am an assistant manager and the store manager is the best because she is funny, serious, and very hardworking.
Care about their employees and change their baby boomer mentality.
teamwork, its to stressful here
Dismissing employees who have been faithful to the company after you have closed a store and not compensating with good faith to that employee. I thought Cato was a great company. 11 years I served and out the door with no severance no thank you no nothing. What comes around goes around.
The pay isnt on scale with the market rate in the area for the same position
What compensation are we referring to?
Pays good money for amount of work

There isn't a compensation package

I get paid more than I expected for my position. Especially with bonuses!

Everyone at this company is undervalued because the upper management and ceo make terrible decisions. The bad decisions start with the leadership team and then everyone else is blamed.
not living paycheck to paycheck having to scrape by every month to make ends meet. After 4 years only making one dollar above min wage is unacceptable.
To be paid more and for our so called bonuses to be more that a joke! It is rediculous
Over haul the entire company.
The amount of work and requirements for the job for example low payroll hours and low starting wages for employees. Raises outside of the 10-25 cent raises per year they give would boost morale.

We all want to be team players. We're professional, we want what's best for the store and the customers, respectful of management, management are respectful of staff, I enjoy the leadership of our District Manager Marcia P.
They work hard & they are very friendly.
We work well together and love to get feedback from each other to improve. We also buy each other snacks and lunch when we have the money.
We work well with one another and build off each other's strengths and weaknesses
My manager is the best thing about it
There are good people working for Cato but the leadership is terrible and this creates significant morale issues.
My coworkers & I all make sure to keep our store a very positive & uplifting place. We want to see our customers happy & satisfied when they leave. I do feel like we all work harder than we should. We honestly dont get paid enough for what they require us to do.
We desire to meet the needs if the customer and the goal of the store.
We have a mix of several different cultures and we manage to satisfy all of them.
We have merchindise that is trendy and stylish
All work well together and help each other
Competent, successful, experienced leadership would be a great start
They dont care about theor employees at all. Sure they offer you health care, but itll cost half you paycheck. Who can live on that?
The higher up management needs to be more involved
Review from Sales Dept
My store manager was very down to earth & made the interview process a lot more comfortable. I was extremely nervous, but her sharing her story about her first interview helped calm me down. It made the interview relatable because she's felt that nervous before too.
The truth with manager and dependable on the job.
I was hired on the first day of the interview.
She understood the reasons that I had left my previous job and didn't reject me right away just because of how long I was there.
I was able to be myself
i dont even know, the business is stuck in the 60s
Positive honesty and reliablity of my coworkers
dressing body forms and setting the sales floor with the store manager.
Seeing the smile on the customers face
helping the customers feel confident
Being able to go to work in a non stress filled space
Quit closing stores and stiffing your faithful employees.
