Q&A With CBC Employees
Employee Assistance: We have a dynamic Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to help you address professional or personal challenges. These services are available to you and your eligible family members. The EAP’s mandate is to promote health and wellness – everything from psychological counselling, to dealing with stress, to nutrition, and career transition counselling. The program also offers an online health risk assessment and resources to help manage stress through initiatives like the mindful meditation program. The program is jointly sponsored by unions and management and is supported by close to 200 employees who act as volunteer-ambassadors locally to promote the resources and organize workplace wellness initiatives. Employee Engagement: We’re continually working to engage our colleagues and we track our progress in many ways. As an employee, you’ll have opportunities including our annual survey to provide feedback on how to improve your workplace. We’re consistently receiving awards and recognition for the value and integrity of our brand, as viewed by Canadians. Our management continues to work jointly and proactively with our unions to ensure a better working environment for everyone.
