Ms. Eva Karp, RN, MBA, FACHE, serves as Chief Clinical Officer and Senior Vice President at Cerner Corporation. Ms. Karp served as Vice President and General Manager of Clinical Venues & Specialty ABU at Cerner Corporation. Ms. Karp is responsible for Cerner strategies and market direction related to orders, e-prescribing, pharmacy, nursing and ancillary services. Ms. Karp joined Cerner in February 2001 as an Enterprise Practice Leader in Cerner Consulting. She was responsible for CareNet?? orders, documentation management, car coordination, PharmNet??, PowerChart Office?? and INet?? products and Cerner's patient care system for workflow automation. Since 2005, Ms. Karp moved to a leadership role in the IP organization to define the strategic direction for solutions to meet objectives related to patient safety, clinical workflow, financial viability, regulatory standards and optimal outcomes across the continuum of care. Ms. Karp served as the Vice President of Clinical Consulting at Eclipsys Corp. Ms. Karp has more than 16 years of experience in health care informatics and 12 years of neurological and surgical ICU clinical experience. She held senior positions with leading software vendors, including IBAX, HBOC, Transition Systems and INC. She held leadership positions in product management, internal and external training, testing methodologies and clinical implementation and consulting services. Since 2002, she served at PharmNet and PowerChart Office to support the automation of the care delivery team across all venues. Ms. Karp serves as Cerner's Intellectual property (IP) lead for the academic and pediatric communities and has participated in the Academic Advisory Board (AAB) and Pediatric Leadership Counsel (PLC) activities for four years. Ms. Karp has an MBA from University of Phoenix, a Bachelor'S Degree in Business Management from Dowling College and an Associate'S Degree in Nursing from Miami Dade Community College.
