I made 1/2 of what others in the same position at other institutions made.
additional vacation time, ability to earn more sooner, salary should grow with additional reponsiblities assumed.
Company continues to hand out branded swag instead of raising pay. New hire pay has increased drastically while pay for existing workers was not adjusted equally. Sign-on bonuses up to $2000 - no retention bonus, annual bonus less than $1000. Compensation for the role is not competitive anymore.

Many women in science and supervisory positions. Very LGBT positive and people from all different backgrounds working together. Overall, the opposite of a toxic work environment, wonderful people that bend over backwards to make sure their work is good.

It all comes from the way the culture is set up. These people know a lot about monkeys but nothing about people..their own employees if you will. Its kinda like they have their own gangs in the company and if you aren't licking the bottome of your managers shoes then you're insubordinate.
