Samuel F. Thomas — Executive Chairman at Chart Industries

Mr. Samuel F. Thomas, also known as Sam, has been Executive Chairman of Chart Industries, Inc. since May 25, 2017 and has been its Executive Director since October 06, 2003. Mr. Thomas serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Chart Energy & Chemicals Inc. He is also a Senior Advisor at Dunes Point Capital, LLC. Mr. Thomas has over 40 years of experience in the industrial process equipment industry. He served as the President of Stoney Creek Technologies LLC. He served as Chief Executive Officer at Chart Industries, Inc. since October 06, 2003 until May 25, 2017 and served as its Chairman since March 27, 2007 until May 25, 2017. He served as President of Chart Industries, Inc. from October 06, 2003 to July 14, 2016. He served as the President of The ESAB Group, Inc., and its Executive Vice President of Global Consumables. Mr. Thomas served as an Executive Vice President of Global Consumables at Esab Holdings Ltd. Along with his most recent position at ESAB, he was responsible for ESAB North America during his employment at ESAB Holdings Ltd. Prior to joining ESAB in February 1999, he served as a Vice President of Friction Products at Federal Mogul, Inc. Mr. Thomas served at T&N plc from 1976 to 1998, where he served since 1991 as Chief Executive of several global operating divisions, including industrial sealing, camshafts and friction products. Mr. Thomas serves on the Board of Directors of John Wood Modern. He serves as the Chairman of Supervisory Board at Chart Ferox, a.s. He has been a Director of Lumentum Holdings Inc since August 2015. He earned his Bachelor of Sciences degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. Mr. Thomas completed the Advanced Management Program at INSEAD in Fountainbleu, France.
