Mr. Christian W. Siemer, also known as Chris, serves as Regional Director for Asia Pacific of Uniqema. Mr. Siemer serves as the President of Chemical Solutions at The Chemours Company since July 2014. He joined Stauffer Chemical in production before moving into technology licensing. In 1990, he joined ICI Specialties as the Production Superintendent at the Atlas Point facility in the United States. He then moved into the role of Americas Marketing Manager for the ICI Surfactants Personal Care business in 1993. In 1996, he was appointed to the position of Americas Business Manager, Ag Technologies (now Crop Protection). In 1998, he transferred to Everberg, Belgium to become the Industrials Business and IT Manager. In 1999, he was appointed to the position of Global Vice President, Enterprise Businesses, where he focused on delivering growth within Uniqema's portfolio of small, market focused businesses, which includes Crop Protection, Oilfield, Polymer Additives, Specialty Cleaning, Spin Finish and Textile Auxiliaries. In early 2000, he was appointed Global Vice President, Lubricants and later became Vice President Synthetics for the Americas region. In 2004, he joined the Uniqema Board and was appointed Regional Director for the Asia Pacific Region. He graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in Chemical Engineering in 1980.
