Mr. Stephen D. Caron, also known as Steve, has been Head of Vacation Rentals and Vice President at Choice Hotels International Inc. since April 19, 2016. Mr. Caron served as Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Supplier Operations at Mountain Reservations, Inc. Mr. Caron has over 20 years experience in information systems. He has experience managing both vacation rental booking platforms and vacation rental properties across the globe. Before entering the hospitality industry, he served in the United States Air Force for 10 years. He is a decorated combat veteran with over 2,000 hours of flight experience. He served as Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President of ResortQuest International, Inc. since October 9, 2002. He serves as Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Supplier Operations of Vacation Roost. He was Vice President of Product Integration, Business Development and Vacation Rentals at Tourico Holidays, Inc., a subsidiary of Travel Holdings, Inc., where he created and launched a vacation rentals division. He served as Director of Information Technology of ResortQuest from 1998 to October 2002. He served as Director of Information Systems at Abbott Resorts, Inc., from 1993 to 1998. He Co-founded Sterling Resorts, which markets lodging accommodations on the white sands of Emerald Beach along the Florida panhandle. He headed up e-commerce, managed reservations and revenue, and led technology initiatives. He was responsible for the supervision and operation of contact center technology, networking and Web development, as well as overseeing the operations of First Resorts Software. He led the e-commerce systems, corporate systems security, and the automation efforts that laid the foundation for Abbott Resorts. He began his career as an Officer at the United States Air Force specializing in special operations and navigation. Mr. Caron received Bachelor's in Computer and Information Sciences from Florida State University.
