Mr. Bradley K. Blackwell, also known as Brad has been General Counsel and Senior Vice President at Churchill Downs Incorporated since March 01, 2017 and serves as its Secretary. Mr. Blackwell served as Vice President of Operations at Churchill Downs Incorporated from March 2015 to March 01, 2017. He joined CDI in 2005 and has held numerous roles of increasing responsibility, including Corporate Counsel from 2005 to 2007, Vice President of Legal & Regulatory Affairs for TwinSpires from 2007 to 2011, Vice President of Legal for CDI from 2011 to 2015. Prior to joining CDI, He served as Assistant General Counsel and Secretary for Michaels Stores, Inc. in Irving, Tx., and an Associate Attorney in the Dallas office of Jones Day. Mr. Blackwell is a 1994 graduate of the University of Kentucky with a B.S. in Accounting. He received his J.D. from the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville in 1998.
