Ms. Rebecca J. Jacoby has been the Chief of Operations and Senior Vice President of Cisco Systems, Inc. since July 26, 2015 and is responsible for advancing profitable growth strategies and improving operational performance. A Cisco veteran of 21 years, Ms. Jacoby is known for her strong track record of innovative problem solving, operational excellence and talent development. She served as Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President of Cisco Systems, Inc. since October 24, 2006 until July 2015, where she was responsible for making the Cisco IT organization a strategic business partner, producing significant business value for Cisco in the form of financial performance, customer satisfaction and loyalty, market share and productivity. She served as Vice President of Customer Service and Operations Systems since November 2003 until October 2006. Since 2003, she was Vice President for Customer Service and Operational Systems at Cisco and played a key leadership role on the Business Process Operations Council, which governs the transformation agenda at Cisco. She has more than 14 years of experience at Cisco in a variety of operations and IT leadership roles. Her extensive understanding of business operations helps her advance Cisco's business through the use of Cisco technology. Her strong commitment to operational excellence, innovative approach to business problems and aptitude for partnering cross-functionally are reshaping and elevating the role of IT at Cisco. She joined Cisco in 1995 as senior manufacturing operations manager. Prior to joining Cisco, Ms. Jacoby held a variety of planning and operations positions with other companies in Silicon Valley. Ms. Jacoby serves as Strategic Advisor to the Board at Apptio, Inc. She has been an Independent Director of S&P Global Inc. (formerly, McGraw Hill Financial, Inc.) since October 2014. She serves on the Board of the Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara County. She served as Director of manufacturing for the Access business unit prior to establishing the central manufacturing planning function in 1997 and assuming responsibility for manufacturing IT in 1999. Prior to joining Cisco, Ms. Jacoby held a variety of planning and operations positions at UB Networks, Inc. and Amdahl Corporation. She served as Director of Apptio, Inc. In 1996, she was recognized with the YWCA Tribute to Women and Industry (TWIN) award. In August 2015, she was inducted into the CIO Hall of Fame by CIO Magazine and was recognized by Forbes as a Superstar CIO in 2012. She is a founding member of the Technology Business Management Council. Ms. Jacoby holds Bachelor's degree in economics from the University of the Pacific and a masters in business administration from Santa Clara University.
