CivicPlus is a large organization where the leadership and communication is absolute chaos. With the recent acquisitions, people were promoted to manager + levels with not enough experience. The management style is comparable to a optimistic cheerleading squad, win or lose. More or less a Sales camp

Everyone is HIGHLY undercompensated, across the board.

I must admit that my personal experience at CivicPlus has been rather negative, especially when it comes to the workplace culture. As a Black man, I've found it challenging, and unfortunately, the environment hasn't been as inclusive and supportive as I had hoped.

Friendly, down to earth, seem to have the right goals

The Leadership Team is slow to act and doesn't always seem to have an accurate pulse on the flow of the business.

Eliminate micromanagement, trust and empower employees

The Benefits Program is nice, and helps with the extortion-level prices of medicine currently. Also unlimited PTO (within reason) is really nice!

I feel undervalued primarily because the company's compensation structure does not align with the level of responsibility and contribution I bring to the organization. My skills and efforts have consistently led to positive results and contributed to the company's success.

Great colleagues, everyone is on the same page. We are pretty much self managed and self taught a lot of aspects of the product we sell.

Collaboration and teamwork are essential in any workplace. While my coworkers are generally skilled and dedicated, there are a few areas where we could collectively improve and work together more effectively. First, communication could be enhanced. Honestly, there isn't much to highlight in terms of positive aspects of the culture and environment at my company. The workplace culture lacks the inclusive and supportive atmosphere that is crucial for employee satisfaction and growth. In my experience, there's a notable absence of transparency.

Company strives for its workers to learn and grow continuously, to never settle, and push innovation forward

While we have metrics that we aim to achieve, these aren't the "end-all" statistics to evaluate performance. If you have ideas on how to make something better, you can push that information to teams to refine your vision.

Getting selected for an interview without a referral can be difficult. You are assigned a project (with a couple of days to work on it) and present your information during the interview. It helps assess your skills on a few important levels. (It's a good thing!!)

Flexibility is the best part about working here.

To be completely honest, there isn't much that makes me genuinely happy at work. The overall work environment and culture are far from ideal, and I often find it challenging to derive happiness from my daily responsibilities. The lack of appreciation for employee contributions.
