Mr. Colin Marshall serves as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Cloud Peak Energy Logistics LLC, Arrowhead I LLC, Arrowhead III LLC and Cloud Peak Energy Resources LLC. Mr. Marshall has been the Chief Executive Officer and President of Cloud Peak Energy Inc. (alternate name Cloud Peak Coal) since July 2008 and is its Chief Operating Officer since January 2018. He served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Rio Tinto Energy America Inc. from June 2006 to November 2009. He had been responsible for all North American energy-related business of Rio Tinto Energy, the global energy company of Rio Tinto plc in London. He served as the General Manager of Pilbara Iron's west Pilbara iron ore operations from March 2004 to May 2006. He was located in Tom Price, West Australia, where he managed four iron ore mines. He began his career with Rio Tinto group in 1987 as a Graduate Trainee. He worked for Rio Tinto plc in London as an Analyst in the Business Evaluation Department from 1991 to 1996. From 1996 to 2000, he served as Finance Director of Rio Tinto Pacific Coal business. Since 2000, he served as General Manager of Rio Tinto Energy America's Cordero Rojo Mine in Wyoming from 2000 to March 2004. From August 2000 to June 2001, he served as Operations Manager of RTEA's Cordero Rojo mine. He worked for Rio Tinto plc in London as an Analyst in the Business Evaluation Department from 1992 to 1996. He has been a Director of Cloud Peak Energy Inc. and Cloud Peak Energy Resources LLC since July 2008. He serves as a Director of Rio Tinto Energy America Inc. He holds both a Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Brunel University and an MBA from London Business School.
