Mr. Rajeev Mehta, also known as Raj, has been the President of Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation since September 28, 2016. Mr. Mehta served as the Chief Executive Officer of IT Services at Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation from December 4, 2013 to September 30, 2016. Mr. Mehta served as Group Chief Executive of Industries & Markets at Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation. He served as Group Chief Executive of Industries and Markets for Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation from February 6, 2012 to December 4, 2013 and served as its Chief Operating Officer of Global Client Services from August 2, 2006 to February 6, 2012. He has more than 16 years of operational management experience in the IT industry. Mr. Mehta, who joined Cognizant in 1997 and served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Cognizant's Financial Services Business Unit from June 2005 to August 2006, guiding the group, the largest within Cognizant, to recognized industry leadership. In this capacity, Mr. Mehta has been responsible for sales, business development, client relationship management and full P&L management. From November 2001 to June 2006, he served as Cognizant's Vice President and General Manager of Financial Services Business Unit. From January 1998 to November 2001, Mr. Mehta served as Cognizant's Director of the Central Region. He served as Cognizant's senior Manager of Business Development from January 1997 to January 1998. He was involved in implementing GE Information System's offshore outsourcing program and held consulting positions at Deloitte & Touche and Andersen Consulting. He is a 2011 recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award from Carnegie Mellon University. Mr. Mehta obtained his BS from the University of Maryland and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University.
