I knew going in I would be self-employed. However, the mandatory fees on top of the commission split are very high. For example, we have a $60 monthly desk fee, a $25 monthly technology fee, a $595 annual legal defense fee, and a 3% commission fee on top of whatever our split agreement is.

Less trinkets, coffe mugs etc...more money

Adjust for cost of living. Very underpaid compared to industry standards, resulting in very high turnover that the company is ignoring.

The work I do used to be completed by a team of three administrative assistants. The other two were let go and now I'm expected to do the work of three people without a significant salary increase. This company will work you to the bone and then get rid of you in favor of someone cheaper.
