What do you like best about the leadership team?
Smart and thoughtful and genuine
Their approach to the employees. The CEO/COO are both available to every employee.
At CAKE, the leadership team has not just an open-door policy, but an open-mind policy! They are open to listening to all feedback and ideas on all things - company culture, benefits, internal processes, even the product. It's been such a joy to work with talented leadership and to feel heard.
Definitely improving with recent C-level hires.

no experience in leadership makes for a lot of rookie mistakes and ever changing strategies
What is the best part about your compensation package?
My benefits are the best.,
The open-PTO policy! I like to work hard, play hard, and CAKE allows me to do that! Travel is something that is really important to me and I really appreciate that the company encourages me to see the world and take time off when I need it!
Regular review of compensation throughout the year.
The benefits are the best part of the compensation. The kitchen and onsite chef team is amazing.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
At least keep pace with inflation.
Base pay is laughably low, OTE could be a bit higher as well.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Knowing that we were all suffering and the relationships formed through group pain.
team cohesivness. I've been working with my team for the last 4 years.
We are nimble and always learning! My team is rather small but we work together so well, learning from one another and challenging each other and the work that we produce. I think we are in a unique position to be able to learn as much as we are and not be silo'd into one job description.
We laugh, work hard, and generally kick @$$.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Again, the management approach. Family first is the motto
I think the people at CAKE are what make it so incredible, it feels as close to a family as you can get! Everyone is willing to help out another person and people genuinely care for one another and for the success of the company.
After a bit of a down turn, things are really looking up.

Doing a job that is challenging, I'm constantly learning something new either from someone around me or with my coworkers. I've never been bored working for CAKE!
