Mr. Navarre serves as Chief Executive Officer and President of Covia and is a member of its Board. Mr. Navarre served as the President and Chief Commercial Officer of Peabody Energy Corporation from February 2008 until he retired in June 2012 and served as Executive Vice President of Corporate Development and Chief Financial Officer from July 2006 to January 2008, and as Chief Financial Officer from October 1999 to June 2008. Mr. Navarre is an independent Director, member of the Audit Committee and Chairman of the Conflicts Committee for Natural Resource Partners LP; independent Director and Member of the Audit and Nominating & Governance Committees for Arch Coal; and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Civeo Corporation. He is a member of the Hall of Fame and Board of Advisors of the College of Business & Administration and the School of Accountancy of Southern Illinois University Carbondale where he received his B.S. in Accounting. Mr. Navarre is a Certified Public Accountant.
