It wasnt awkward, simple process

The face to face sit down

The plant manager at the time didnt frown upon me saying i didnt know. In fact he jumped up and started showing me and demonstrating on the white board. It was a nice experience that showed me he was willing to teach if they were willing to learn.
You meet with people and simply talk about the position and work.
