Dr. Marcus Schenck has been the President of Deutsche Bank AG since May 1, 2017 and its Co-Head of Corporate & Investment Bank since July 3, 2017. Dr. Schenck has been the Member of Management Board at Deutsche Bank AG since May 21, 2015 and served as its Chief Financial Officer from May 21, 2015 to 2017. Dr. Schenck served as Deputy Chief Executive Officer at Deutsche Bank AG since March 13, 2017 until May 1, 2017. Dr. Schenck served as General Manager and Deputy Chief Financial Officer at Goldman Sachs. In January 2015, Dr. Schenck joined Deutsche Bank from Goldman Sachs International, where he was Partner and Head of Investment Banking Services for Europe, Middle East & Africa with responsibility for 20 major European clients. From 2006 to 2013, Dr. Schenck served as Chief Financial Officer and a Member of The Management Board of German energy supplier E.ON. In this role, he was not only responsible for Accounting, Controlling, M&A, Finance, Tax and Audit, but also for IT and growing the international business outside Europe. From 1997 to 2006, he held a number of senior positions at Goldman Sachs in Frankfurt. Prior to that, he was a consultant at McKinsey & Company. He was a member of the Operating Committee of the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs. Dr. Schenck holds a ???Diplom-Volkswirt??? degree from the University of Bonn and a PhD in Economics from the University of Cologne.
