Briefly describe your overall experience at your company
What do you like best about the leadership team?
We have a diverse leadership team who has been promoted from within. They take feedback from everyone at the company and try to act upon suggestions.
Transparency and they truly seem to care about their employees
Transparent leadership with a focus on employee engagement.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Replace yourselves with people who respect others on a basic human level.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
There is now an equity plan at DockYard. We have 2 tiers of health insurance plans, one 100% paid for by DockYard, as well as a 401k match. PTO is fairly generous and unlimited sick time.
Health option + Dental + Vision + Life/AD&D 100% paid for by DockYard
Fair given the size of the organization and offset by other perks--although I find it weird that there are salaries for jobs that do not exist at the company.
DockYard pays the full premium for all insurances and not just for the employee, but for family too.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Some of the best people I've ever worked with!!
Great collaboration and overall fun people to work with.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
I think that the company is dishonest, with several people mentioning that they were hired under misleading conditions so they need to just start being honest.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
We are small, but are a global company represented by about 10 countries. We embrace the diversity of our employees and have the opportunity to learn about other cultures.

DockYard Days on Friday allow time to work on open source without making it a second job after you're done with your day job. DockYard days also happen whenever you're between client engagements.

What makes you most happy at work?
Working with great people in a fun environment that's 100% remote.
Being able to work on open source. Being able to talk with important members of the Elixir community as co-workers.
