Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Yes i do feel undervalued.
A better starting wage and better benefits are available at window factories, cheese factories, and competitor mills. Why work a 7 day swing shift in extreme conditions for less if you don't have to? Paper making used to be premium employment. Domtar made it just another mediocre factory job.
Better pay and benefits and also employee appreciation.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Start over from scratch. The human resources department was much better 10 years ago vs now. They don't solve problems anymore. They just give you a number to call and you're on your own. The mill manager says what you want to hear and does the opposite. None can be trusted.
Listen to the operator and hourly employees ideas
Make sure every employee is treated with respect and to gave patients when training all new employees and trained correctly.
