The equity is a chance for everyone to literally own a piece of the company and is seen as additional and not a replacement for fair salary compensation as it can be at some startups.

The office environment is upbeat and energetic. The people are great. The work can be hard, but the opportunity combined with the people and environment make it a fun challenge rather than a daunting one.

It was a two-way interview - they wanted to make sure I was a fit for the company, but also that the company was a fit for me and what would be the best next step in my career.
