Pay attention to what their ops staff is doing. Recognize the real difference between a "real subcontractor" and what the IRS says is an employee. Someone will challenge a misclassification and the result will be costly. Then there's FLSA. One person files a complaint, a class action is coming.
DB hires new pilots. Little experience, usually one drone and minimal insurance. Some times the pay looks good - then the vastness of the job sinks in. These projects cannot be done in the stated time or LOS. I've had 2 drones in the air and still couldn't meet their estimated time.
Pilots generally don't get a chance to meet. The ops staff contact is by phone or email.
Honest Ops staff; Invest in IT infrastructure to assure uploads complete without failure.
Paint a realistic picture of what you will have to deal with.
