Douglas F. Lyons — Senior VP, Controller & Treasurer at E.W. Scripps Company

Mr. Douglas F. Lyons has been the Controller of The E. W. Scripps Company since July 1, 2008, Senior Vice President since November 2017 and also as its Treasurer since May 7, 2015. Mr. Lyons served as Vice President of The E. W. Scripps Company from July 1, 2008 to November 2017. Mr. Lyons served as its Vice President of Finance and Administration at Scripps Interactive Media at The E. W. Scripps Company since October 12, 2006. He held various financial management roles at Scripps since joining EW Scripps in 1985. He served as a Director of Financial Reporting of EW Scripps Co., since 1992 and also served as its Assistant Corporate Controller. Prior to joining Scripps, Mr. Lyons served as an Audit Manager for the accounting firm Deloitte, Haskins & Sells (now Deloitte & Touche). Mr. Lyons is a Certified Public Accountant and is a 1979 graduate of the University of Dayton, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
