Executive Bio
Mr. Adam S. Umanoff has been Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Edison International since January 2015. Mr. Umanoff served as Partner of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer Feld LLP since May 2011. Mr. Umanoff served as Partner of Chadbourne & Parke, L.L.P. since February 2007. Mr. Umanoff was in the Los Angeles office of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, where he was a partner. He served on the development and financing of energy projects, with an emphasis on the wind sector. He served initially as President, Chief Executive Officer and General Counsel of Enron Wind Corp. His experience there involved North American and European acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, all aspects of project development, technology transactions and debt and equity financings. During his legal career, Mr. Umanoff has developed a broad background in project development, equipment supply, construction and operation and maintenance services, project finance, technology and corporate and M&A services, with an emphasis on wind and other renewable energy projects. In 2010, both the Los Angeles and San Francisco Daily Journals recognized him as one of California's Top 100 Lawyers and Top 25 Clean Tech Lawyers.
