From 1985 to 1990, he served as an officer in the Israeli Defense Forces, managing an engineering development team and later was an acting manager of one of the IDF high-tech departments. He has been a Director of Electronics For Imaging, Inc. since 2000. He has been an Independent Director at Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. since 2006. Mr. Gecht holds a B.S. in Computer Science and Mathematics from Ben Gurion University in Israel.
