Mr. Edgar A. Luce, also known as Ed, has been Advisor of Ellie Mae, Inc. since April 1, 2017. Mr. Luce served as the Chief Financial Officer of Ellie Mae, Inc. from July 2005 to April 1, 2017 and served as its Executive Vice President from July 22, 2016 to April 1, 2017. Mr. Luce served as an Executive Vice President of Finance & Administration at Ellie Mae, Inc. since November 2009 until July 22, 2016 and served as its Principal Accounting Officer. Mr. Luce is a Principal of Financial Leadership Group, LLC. He has nearly twenty-five years of financial, operational and management experience, primarily in the high-technology and life science arenas. Since starting his career with Price Waterhouse and moving to Datapoint Corporation. He has served as Chief Financial Officer for several firms in the Bay Area, in industries including software, medical devices, pharmaceutical and consumer products. He served as an Officer, Corporate Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer for several firms during that time and has worked with over a dozen startup companies in industries including medical device, biotech, pharmaceutical, medical imaging, software, laboratory instrumentation, computer networking and consumer products. Mr. Luce has set up and managed finance & accounting groups, budgets & forecasting, SEC reporting, operations, customer service, IT, human resources, reimbursement, investor relations, administration and facilities functions. He has worked with venture capital and private equity funded companies which ranged from pre-revenue to over $100 million in sales. He has led, advised or participated in both private and public equity financings and M&A transactions totaling nearly $200 million. He also lends strategic assistance to Chief Executive Officers and management teams in his engagements. He is a Member of the Association of Bioscience Financial Officers, Northern California Chapter. Mr. Luce holds a BA degree in Economics from Stanford University and an MBA degree from UCLA.
