Mr. Richard J. Schlueter, also known as Rick, has been the Chief Accounting Officer at Emerson Electric Co., since February 2003 and served as its Controller since October 1, 2011 also its Vice President since 2011. Mr. Schlueter is responsible for overseeing the worldwide consolidation and analysis of the company's financial results, providing financial analysis of complex transactions and supporting the acquisition and divestiture program, providing leadership on internal controls and setting global accounting policies and ensuring integrity in the company's financial accounting and reporting. He served as Vice President of Accounting at Emerson Electric Co., since 1999. He joined Emerson in 1987. He held a number of financial leadership positions, including assistant controller and chief accounting officer in 2003. He held positions in an international metals and mining company and in public accounting. He is a member of Financial Executives International and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He serves as a Director of the Saint Louis Crisis Nursery. He received a bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting and a master's in business administration in finance from the University of Missouri - St. Louis.
