Ms. Kathleen L. Barron serves as Senior Vice President of Federal Regulatory Affairs and Wholesale Market Policy at Exelon Corporation. Ms. Barron served as Vice President of Federal Regulatory Affairs & Policy at Exelon Corporation since June 22, 2010. Ms. Barron oversees Exelon's management of federal regulatory policies and strategies. She is responsible for identifying and assessing key policy issues of interest to Exelon, crafting the its position on such issues and developing strategies for achieving Exelon's public policy objectives. In addition, she fosters dialogue with key government officials, national trade associations and coalitions. Prior to Exelon, Ms. Barron served as deputy general counsel at Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). As deputy general counsel for FERC, she provided legal advice to the Commission on all aspects of its responsibilities and represented the Commission before Congress, government agencies and industry groups. Previously, she served as FERC's associate general counsel for energy markets, where she led a group of about 90 lawyers on legal and policy matters related to electric power sales and transportation, electric system reliability, corporate regulation of public utilities and natural gas and oil pipeline transportation. Prior to joining FERC, she was in private practice with the law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom LLP. She holds a Bachelor's degree from American University and a law degree from the University of Houston Law Center.
