Mr. Michael J. Kormos, also known as Mike, has been Senior Vice President of Wholesale Markets and Energy Policy at Exelon Corporation since June 13, 2016. Mr. Kormos is responsible for formulating and advocating for Exelon's positions on energy and transmission bulk system policy planning, the development of effective wholesale energy markets, the Exelon's participation with the North American Electric Reliability Corporation and regional reliability councils, and cybersecurity and grid reliability issues. He joined Exelon following a 27-year career with PJM. Mr. Kormos served as Chief Operations Officer and Executive Vice President at PJM Interconnection, L.L.C. from August 9, 2015 to April 15, 2016. He served as Chairman of PJM Environmental Information Services, a PJM subsidiary that developed a system to track the environmental attributes of various state programs. Mr. Kormos has been Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee at Eastern Interconnection Planning Collaborative since January 05, 2016. He served as an Executive Vice President of Operations at PJM Interconnection, L.L.C until August 9, 2015. Previously, Mr. Kormos has served in various management and engineering positions in the Operations Division. Mr. Kormos served as Senior Vice President of Operations of PJM Interconnection, L.L.C. and also served as its Vice President of System Operations. He is responsible for all services that touch reliability, including system operations, system planning, information and technology services, security and regional coordination. In his role, Mr. Kormos oversees the reliable operation and coordination of PJM bulk power system through load estimating, scheduling monitoring and the developing as well as supporting the technological infrastructure to support the organization. He serves as a Director of the Industry Leaders Council for the Consortium for Electric Reliability Technology Solutions. Since 2011, Mr. Kormos has held the position of executive sponsor for the PJM Diversity and Inclusion Council. He served on the Board of Directors for the Eastern Interconnection Data Sharing Network, Eastern Interconnection Planning Collaborative and ReliabilityFirst Corporation.
