Executive Bio

Mr. Charles Butterworth has been Managing Director of Experian UK & Ireland and EMEA at Experian plc since November 2016. Mr. Butterworth joined Experian in 2011 as Managing Director of Experian Decision Analytics in EMEA. Since April 2014, he served as Managing Director, EMEA of Experian. Prior to joining Experian, he enjoyed an eight-year career with Vodafone Group Plc as Group M&A Director, with his final position as Chief Executive Officer of Vodafone Ireland Limited from July 1, 2007 to July 1, 2010. He served as Group Investor Relations Director at Vodafone Group Plc and served as its Acting Director of Corporate Affairs from September 24, 2004 to October 5, 2004. Before Vodafone, he served at UBS Group AG. He worked in investment banking at UBS Warburg, working across its telecoms, corporate finance, key accounts originations, project finance and credit management divisions. Mr. Butterworth served as a Director of SoftBank Corp. (formerly, Vodafone K.k and Japan Telecom Holdings Co. Ltd.). He attended Bristol University in the UK and holds an honours degree in German.
