my team had some great people, and some not so great.
leadership is all about command and control... and being the smartest ones in the room
This is a really tough question that requires some thought before I can accurately reply, but... off the cuff I'd say overly strict policies need to be revised (some are already); focus needs to be on a quality product rather than on sales. Trust in middle managers to do their jobs.
