I personally believe owner needs to stop being the president/CEO. provide more transparency. Just because its a stable company it doesnt make it a good place to work.
This is a really tough question that requires some thought before I can accurately reply, but... off the cuff I'd say overly strict policies need to be revised (some are already); focus needs to be on a quality product rather than on sales. Trust in middle managers to do their jobs.
Remove timecard system for salary employees
